Tacos are a meal we can throw together without much thought or preparation. We usually have enough of the core ingredients on hand to make some version of taco night. We call it a taco party around here.
This simple taco seasoning livens up tacos and taco salads without the extra junk you can find in those packets at the store. We’ve only used this seasoning in beef tacos, but I imagine it partnering well with black beans, pinto beans, chicken, or maybe even fish. A well-stocked taco bar can suit various diets and doubles as a salad bar.

Taco Seasoning Recipe
*for one pound of protein
Mix.
I add this mix and a splash of water to sauteed onion and garlic. Then I add 1 pound of beef to the seasoning and brown.
From there we load up our plates with any taco flair of our choosing: lettuce, tomatoes, fresh salsa, slided avocado, guacamole, maybe a filler or two like corn chips or shells, lime-cilantro-rice for the non-paleo’s, chopped onion, whatever’s on hand. Repeat. Taco party!

I’m excited to learn more mixes, the flavor is SO much better! The best is being able to mix something up at the last second with no grocery store runs.
